Because you may need to go away and source some of the materials (such as photographs, and your logo), we recommend you kick things off by using the "Save and Continue Later" link at the bottom of this page. When you do that you'll be emailed a link that you can use (for 30 days) to come back and carry on working on your order at any time: just the thing if getting a copy of your logo, writing about your business's history, or getting your hands on some killer photos might take a few days to organise.

Website Design
Choose colours and fonts to change the overall look of your website.
Your MyWhitsunday.Web website is designed around a single, scrolling page made up of multiple sections.

Every MyWhitsunday.web site has a number of standard elements (a menu, a title section, contact form, map and footer with contact details and social media links).

In addition to these standard elements, you can choose from a range of different "section" templates and combine them in any order you like to create your website's "body").

Menu Colours
The menu area contains your logo and links to the sections on your page. Because your logo will appear on top of this part of the page, you must choose a colour that is compatible with your logo. Many logos are designed to only be displayed on top of white.
Menu Background Colour
Menu Text Colour
Set the colour for the text links to sections in your website. This colour should contrast with the menu background (i.e. if you choose a light menu background, choose a dark menu text colour and vice-versa).
Primary Colours
Main Background Colour
Set a primary background colour. Our web designer will apply this colour (and shades of this colour) to the background of various "sections" in your website).
Main Text Colour
Set a colour for default body text. This should contrast with your main background (e.g. if your main background is light, then your text colour should be dark, but if your main background is a dark colour then you should choose a light colour for text).
Main Link Colour
Set the colour for text hyperlinks on your website.
Secondary Colours
Secondary Background Colour
In order to help visually separate the sections of your website, some sections will use an alternative "bold" (or "bright") colour for their background.
Secondary Text Colour
Choose a contrasting colour for text in sections that use the secondary background.

Website Title
The website title won't appear on your website's page(s), but it will show in user's web browser title bars, bookmarks to your website and on google's search result pages. Generally your organisation name will form your title, but you can adjust this below if you want.

About Section
The "About" section can serve as an introduction for your organisation, or it can be used to provide your back-story.

As well as allowing for a number of text paragraphs, the About section also allows a large quote (suitable for your organisation's motto or tagline) and space for up to five images.

The images may be used to highlight high profile clients by including their logos, or to list logos of brands that your organisation supplies. Alternatively you could show photographs illustrating a number of your services.

Quote

Focus Section
The Focus Section can be used to highlight your organisations strengths, or it's key services, or any other subject you wish to "focus" on.

The section allows up to four images to be added, with titles and a paragraph of text about the image.

Portfolio Section
The Portfolio Section displays a grid of images, each with a title and category that appear when users hold their mouse over the image (or touch the image on a tablet device).

While ideally suited to showing a portfolio of past projects, the section can be used for any purpose that a grid of images with titles might suit.

Our standard website package includes up to eight images, but you may add up to 16 at additional cost.

You can use categories to represent anything, but a common use (in a portfolio scenario) is to use them to categorise each item by the type of work that was involved. For a builder this might be "residential", "commercial" etc. For a photographer it could be "weddings", "food photography", "product photography" etc.

The Caption text you enter will be displayed below a zoomed in version of the image when users click/touch the image. Please limit captions to one or two sentences.

Packages Section
The Packages Section displays a number of boxes in a row.

Each box has a title/subtitle, a price (optionally a price "per month" or "per year' etc), and up to eight features. The list of features is intended for readers to be able to compare each of the packages.

Packages will be displayed on your website from left to right on devices with wide screens, or vertically (down the page) on mobile phones and other devices with narrow screens.

Testimonials Section
The Testimonials Section displays a number of customer testimonials in a row, each in a box.

Each box contains a short statement (of text), a customer name, a description of that customer (usually their role and company) and an optional photograph of the customer, or their company logo.

Testimonials will be displayed on your website from left to right on devices with wide screens, or vertically (down the page) on mobile phones and other devices with narrow screens.

Team Section
The Team Section displays a number of personnel profiles in a row

Each profile shows a photograph of the team member, along with a bold name and smaller job title. Each profile can also have a short (one or two paragraph) description (or "bio").

Being very similar to the Focus Section, this section can also be renamed and used to list things other than team members if desired.

Team members will be displayed on your website from left to right on devices with wide screens, or vertically (down the page) on mobile phones and other devices with narrow screens.
